These words, attributed to Aristotle, are a great reminder of the importance and impact of what financial aid administrators do in their jobs everyday. As we begin another year of assisting students in fulfilling their dreams of attending college, it is more important than ever that those of us in the financial aid profession have the necessary training opportunities and networking support of our colleagues to excel in the work before us.

I hope you will join us this year as our organization continues to strive to provide the training and networking opportunities needed in today's financial aid environment to assist our students. We have several great training events planned, including the fall and spring TASFAA conferences, both to be held in Nashville, TN. Beginning October 12-14, 2008, we will kick off our year with the TASFAA Fall Conference at the Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel with a theme of "Kaleidoscope of Opportunities". Also planned for the fall, are several NASFAA Decentralized Training sessions offered across the state. We will return to the Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel to conclude the year with our TASFAA Spring Conference to be held April 5-8, 2009.
