District II Greetings to all TASFAA District II members! Many of us are grateful for recent rainfall after two months of very hot and very dry weather in West Tennessee. Folks who have lived in Jackson nearly forty years recall this as the hottest and driest of summers! We trust all have survived the challenges both inside and outside the office, and have seen many new opportunities to serve students and families this fall semester. We look forward to an informative year with TASFAA District II training opportunities. West Tennessee will be in for a treat when Sheriff Dave Gelinas rides in and brings us terrific training materials from our friends in D.C. Dates and times TBA. We may be working with another friend and colleague, Mr. Torrence McKnight, District I Chair, to have some joint meetings if needed for 2007-08. (We may need Sheriff Dave to keep the Volunteers and Tigers from clashing). Keeping with the subject of volunteers, please feel absolutely free
to volunteer your suggestions, volunteer your time, volunteer your location
for training, or volunteer someone else to assist in complete and effective
training meetings for District II. |
