Transitions Angel Kincer joined the Office of Student Affairs
as Assistant Director of Financial Aid for ETSU’s College of Pharmacy
in July, 2007. With 16 years prior experience in higher education, her
recent position was Financial Aid Coordinator for Southeast Kentucky
Community & Technical College in Whitesburg, KY. A graduate of Virginia
Intermont in Bristol, VA she earned her B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies majoring in Elementary Education and holds her teaching certification
for P-6 grades. A native of Southwest Virginia, Angel now resides in
Bristol, TN with her two children. TSAC Welcomes ‘familiar face in new place’ as TSAC’s new NGS Service Representative Marea (pronounced Maria, just spelled differently) Herrington comes to the TSAC office from the University of Mississippi where she served in the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of Outreach. Marea is a native of Nashville and attended Mississippi State University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to working for UM, Marea spent time in Knoxville working for EdAmerica and EdFinancial Services. Outside of work, Marea is involved with the American Legion Auxiliary and the Tennessee Girls State Program where she has worked as a counselor and staff member since being a delegate from McGavock High School in 1990. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, traveling, and SEC sports. She is currently training for her first 10K (Marine Corp 10K) in October, 2007. Ashley Bianche from Rhodes College was promoted to
Senior Assistant Director. Carrie McAdon, previously
from University of Memphis, Texas A & M, and University of Texas
at Arlington is the new Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Rhodes
College. News from Bryan College: Christy Barbo is the new Loan Coordinator at Tennessee State University, as of July 1, 2007. She came here from Pellissippi State. Julie Hughes is the new scholarship assistant at MTSU, since June 2007. She is new to both financial aid and MTSU. David Haygood and wife, Julie, have three wonderful teenagers (Thomas, 19, attending Kennesaw State University; Jonathan, 17, Senior at East Paulding High School; and Sarah Ashley, 14, Freshmen at North Paulding High School), and are in the final stages of adopting Caroline Grace Marina, a six year old from St. Petersburg, Russia. The court date in Russia is September 11. They must travel to Russia twice and will be bringing her home on October 6. Please pray for them and for Caroline that the transition will go well.
